Small and active, slightly longer than tall, but this is no toy dog. Aloof with strangers and loyal companion and a good watch dog. Features of the breed are the oval face, high set ears, shawl of hair under the neck and slightly undershot mouth. The feet are long and haired the tail is carried over the back. The coat is of medium length, silky and flat with an undercoat.
