The Silky is classified in the Toy group, but is more like the terrier in temperament. He is a lively companion. The coat is long and silky, for show parted down the centerline from his silvery topknot. Tails are still docked.
Colours are blue and tan or grey-blue and tan, the richer the colour the better.
