The Groenendael is medium sized, alert and attentive, he gives the impression of grace and strength. With square build and finely chiselled head, medium lingth undocked tail and moderate spring of rib. Should never be agressive or timid. The coat of this variety is medium long and straight .
Colour is black. Small white marks on the chest and hind feet only are permitted.
