A strong muscular hound, active and capable of great endurance. Original use was to hunt Lion so he likes to work with his master. The distinctive ridge of hair along the back is a feature of the breed. Exercise is a must. The coat should be short dense, sleek and glossy.
Colours are light wheaten to red wheaten
