A wirehaired, short legged hound from France. He makes a good pet being friendly and is obedient if you can stop him hunting. Almost half again, as long as he is tall, with oval shaped medium sized ears and sickle tail. The dense, harsh short coat may require hand stripping.
Colours are red-wheaten or fawn.
