Smallest of the Continental hunt-point-retrieve breeds the Brittany is a compactly built, easily trained breed. Apparently naturally docked or docked to 4" in GB. It makes an intelligent and good gundog. The coat is flat and dense with a slight wave. Colours are orange/ white, liver/white, black/white, roan in any of these colour or tricolour all usually with flecking.
