The Suomenpystykorva as he is known in Finland retains his beautiful unspoilt symmetry and natural health. Started out as a barking bird dog, so he is rather vocal, but loves children. Known for centuries in Finland the standard was set in 1812! In body he has a deep chest with a tuck up, his muscular neck is medium to short. His coat is thick and moderately long with a plumed tail. The eyes are dark and lively.
Colour is bright red shaded.
