Bred to guard barges in the Nederlands, this compact 'Spitz type has a fox-like head with small pointed ears. This is not the big dog he appears as the 'rug' only gives that impression. The coat should be harsh and stand off with a thick undercoat.
Colour is a mixture if grey and black with cream legs.
