A Strongly built, long low terrier. The length should be twice the height. Ears may be pricked or drop. Tail is pendant never curled.This is a one man dog, distrustful of strangers but not vicious. The long hard straight double coat takes some grooming to look glamorous.
Colours are dark or light grey, fawn, cream black. Self colour may have shading of the same colour and a lighter undercoat. Nose must be black and small white spot on the chest is permitted.
