This Large breed lives on the slopes of the Southern Pyrenees. Also nown as the Navarre and the Mastiff of Leon. He is a useful guard, a hunter of game bodyguard, cart dog and above all those an excellent sheep dog. This is a big powerful dog yet light on his feet with a silent attentive nature. Eyes are small and dark, ears pointed and pendent. The tail is fringed and carried low. The coat thick, course and not long.
Colour - White with two golden or grey markings eitherside of the head and at the beginning of the neck and base of the tail. Least desired being black/white.
Has been accepted in the Import Register.
He may be shown in the Irish Republic under FCI Rules if registered with the FCI as a breed.
