A pack animal that likes company human or dog. He is strong willed and likes to roam. Originally bred to hunt hare, pheasant and quail he is quite active. Can put on weight is not watched. The ears are long and hang against the cheeks, the neck is rather long and body muscular. His coat is short straight and flat.
Colours are any hound colour other than liver.
